Hello Children (and Parents),
It’s Mrs Fytche, (Jennie) from LightSpace, saying a great big Hello to you all. I miss coming into school to spend time with you in collective worship, or see you in lunchtime and after school clubs, and RE workshops. I am so pleased you are back at school again with your teachers and friends.
I sent you a letter what seems a long time ago in April. Not long after I stopped working for a while. This is what the government called furloughing people until we could work again. I am now back at work but I am working differently. You will still be able to see me though.
I won’t be able to do RE lessons, or lunchtime clubs or even come in person to school for a little while longer. Instead I will send Collective Worship films in to use in school. Just like you I have been learning lots of new ways of working. I have been training in how to do filming, editing and recording to send to you. In your classroom bubble. I am sure you will let me know how I am doing when I send in the first collective worships to your teachers. I am not quite as good as Blue Peter presenter yet!
I hope you are keeping really well at school and at home, and are settling in and enjoying school again. I wonder what new things you are getting used to just like I am getting used to having to film collective worships
There is still list of fun activities on our website www.lightspace.org.uk Your parents will be able to have a look under latest news tab maybe there is something fun you can do at home in the evenings or at weekends. I will be putting some autumn activities on up there in the next few weeks.
Make sure you listen to your teachers as they keep you safe and work hard at school. Do have fun, relax, chill, sing, dance, and exercise at home too.
In Collective Worship we often talk about Christians believing Jesus is always with us and in the Bible there are lots of stories about people who had to learn new ways of living to be safe. God loved them and looked after them. Perhaps this will help you when you find things difficult.
With love from LightSpace
Jennie Fytche
